Maddy is taking a short hiatus due to Peter having a ton of work to do! In the meantime we’re looking for short fan-comics or fanart to spread around, which we’ll post on the website!
If you don’t read the comic, that’s cool, you can always take a moment to catch up here: http://maddymcgeepi.com/ !
I’ll also be getting back to the commentaries soon. I wanted to leave them because Peter and I had a feeling this was coming. Hope to hear from some of you!

The latest few pages of Maddy McGee, P.I. have been pretty enjoyable for Britt and I, but the one part I’m most happy about is being able to show off a bit of the design for Maddy’s robotic prostheses. While we’re both fans of science fiction, the idea of creating characters in a transhumanist/android based world is fairly new to us. That said, it’s been really exciting for us in terms of R&D for creating all things kinetic and mechanical.
A lot of questions are asked back and forth between us about how to go about transhumans and cyborgs. Here’s a sample of the things we ask each other in regards to such robotic augmentations:
I suppose I’ll use Maddy as an example for these questions, since she’s the only one you’ve seen so far that’s a cyborg.
WHOA. Original written content on my Tumblr blog? Yeah, it’s been a while, hasn’t it? But I thought I’d share with you guys something about the stuff I’m doing now.

Someone during my university years once described to me how Waterworld was likely to have been Kevin Costner’s dream concept—the one movie he had to make. The movie had massive budget issues and developmental setbacks, but Costner just had to finish it! Unfortunately, when you ask me about my thoughts on the film, I tend to find it boring and silly with a poor execution on the world-building in the narrative. The most interesting elements I find in the film are the characters, but they all seem too silly or out-of-place because of the lack of quality story elements surrounding them. When you think about it, it’s really too bad that it was how it turned out.
“What does this have to do with me,” you may be asking.

I want to make a list. Please include a link in your reblog.
(I’ll make another one for print comics later)
It’s on a little break right now, but we’ll be back soon! Got a huge backlog of previous comics to look at, though!
Don’t mind if I do! Networking, activate!

I condone this message! I condone it greatly. This is no motion comic, but a full-out animation done by S. Dave Shabet! Click the comic preview image thingy to check it out.
If you do not read Dead Winter yet then GET YOUR BUTT OVER TO THE SITE RIGHT NOW!
It’s a great comic, and every 100 pages the artist utilizes animation to tell the story… and this newest update’s animated comic page is KILLER.
I’m gonna take whatever time I have right now to throw out some rec’s in terms of comics!
Three recommendations, to be precise!

Y: The Last Man (The Deluxe Edition books)
Brian K. Vaughan, Pia Guerra, José Marzàn Jr. et al
Finally read the last volume; I started to gain interest in the series after watching the iFanboy videocast last year on the series. Even though the vid was really spoiler heavy, I still held interest in reading it afterward. I’m glad I stuck with it. Such a great series!
More after the break!
